Advantages of OPP Film
1.High transparency: It features high light transmittance, enabling clear display of the packaged products, enhancing their appearance and recognizability. It is suitable for items requiring visual presentation, such as biscuits, candies, and stationery.
2.Excellent printability: Its smooth and flat surface allows strong ink adhesion, enabling the printing of bright, detailed patterns and texts for optimal brand presentation.
3.Good stiffness: The film is rigid and resistant to deformation, resulting in well-structured, three-dimensional packaging that resists wrinkling.
4.Moderate cost: It is priced lower than materials like PET and composite films, offering better cost-effectiveness than some high-barrier packaging materials.
5.Satisfactory moisture resistance: It can block external moisture to a certain extent and protect products from dampness.
Disadvantages of OPP Film
1.Poor heat-sealability: Pure OPP film is nearly impossible to heat-seal. It usually needs to be compounded with heat-sealable materials such as CPP or PE for sealing in horizontal flow wrapping.
2.Weak low-temperature resistance: It tends to become brittle and crack in low-temperature environments, making it unsuitable for direct packaging of frozen food.
3.Average barrier property: It has poor barrier capacity against oxygen and odors, so it cannot meet the long-term fresh-keeping needs of products like nuts and meat when used alone.
4.Poor ductility: It is relatively brittle with low tensile strength and is prone to damage when subjected to external impact.
